Born Pretty Store Gold Foil Bows

Afternoon dolls! How was everyone's Halloween? I spent my night curling during the prime trick or treating hours and then came home and ate a little of the leftover candy! No shame!

Today I have a review of Born Pretty Store 3D Foil Metal Nail Art Tips Sticker Decal Slice in Bowknots. You get 1000 little bows in the package, so essentially a completely endless supply. Here's what I came up with!

I used two coats of Barielle Decadence which is a stunning teal shimmer polish. You all know me and my blues, and this one is no exception. My thought here was to add some french tip with some stitching in Essie As Good As Gold and then put the bow into the stitching for a simple pretty look.

I was a little disappointed with these bows in that they are not flexible at all, so there is really no way for them to lie flat. I don't have particularly curved nails either so I was hoping they would lie flat. Possibly if placed near the cuticle and not near the tip they might not stick out so much.

I am no stranger to 3D nail art and generally love the feel of texture on my nails. However in this case the edges of the bow kept catching on things and within a hour of doing these nails a few had already come off even with a hefty dose of topcoat.

What do you think of these gold foil bows? I think I liked the idea more than the application and outcome so I might have to recreate these in the future. Born Pretty Store has hundreds of nail art accessories and they really are my go to place to find something cool to wear! The gold foil stickers come in a number of different designs, so if this one isn't for you head over to Born Pretty to see which ones you would like! You can pick up this lifetime supply of bows for $8.80 with FREE international shipping! Remember to use my 7% off code of SA7X31!

Hope you're all having a good day recovering from Halloween! :D

  1. These are super cute! That's a bummer that they won't go flat though...my nails are way curved, so I don't think I could pull these off. I love your mani though!!! <3

  3. Cute! They look like Tiffany boxes. But they also look like they would fall off easily.
