Anchors Away with Beyond the Nail Decals

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Gooood Morning!

Yesterday I showed you two beautiful polishes from the indie brand Beyond the Nail, and today I have a look featuring Blue Microglitter and silver vinyl decals made by Beyond the Nail. These decals are cute, easy to use and let you have some great nail art in a flash!

Nautical Nails

For this manicure I used 4 coats of Beyond the Nail Blue Microglitter on my index and middle nails and then used a white creme on the rest of my nails. Using a striping brush and China Glaze Adventure Red-y I freehanded some lines across my nails, just because I'm too impatient to use striping tape lol.

I added the silver anchor decals on my non accent nails to play into a nautical theme. The decals are really small so I would recommend using a pair of tweezers to lift the decal off the paper and place onto your nail. I originally tried just using my nails and completely messed up my right hand so I had to go back with my tweezers. Much easier that time around and my right hand was saved!

I'm not usually one to use decals like these, but I love the result! There is no way I would be able to freehand something like this and I don't have an anchor stamp. The decal was really easy to use, once I figured out the tweezer trick, and in no time at all I had a great looking manicure. You get 20 decals for $2.50 and there are tons of different designs that you can check out here.

Are you a fan of decals? What do you think of these anchors?! Hope you're having a great Thursday :)

Beyond The Nail Blue Microglitter and Shimmering Mermaid Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Morning Everyone!

Today I have some swatches of a new to me indie brand to share with you. Beyond the Nail is a Canadian indie brand that sells quite a variety of nail polish, vinyl decals, caviar microbeads as well as some fake nail sets! That's quite a lot for a new brand! Today I have 2 of their beautiful polishes to share with you, let's jump right in!

Beyond The Nail Blue Microglitter

Beyond The Nail Blue Microglitter is just that! Awesome blue microglitter. I found the formula to be a little on the thin side so I used 4 coats for the coverage you see here. You can probably get away with 3, but I wanted a little more depth in the polish. This would also be great for layering as you would get a speckled look over another colour.

Beyond The Nail Blue Microglitter

This glitter is designed to dry to a gritty finish, similar to the Holiday Joy China Glaze glitters that came out last November. However I preferred it nice and shiny so I did 2 coats of NYC In a Minute top coat. We all know how much I love blues and this is beautiful. It is unique in my collection and I'm really happy I now own it!

Beyond The Nail Shimmering Mermaid

Beyond The Nail Shimmering Mermaid is just awesome. This clear based glitter mix is full of blue microglitter, small blue hex glitter and medium silver holographic glitter. I couldn't get the holographic glitter to shine as much as it does in real life, so take my word for it that the holographic goodness of Shimmering Mermaid is really shimmering ;)

Beyond The Nail Shimmering Mermaid

This was 2 coats of Shimmering Mermaid over Pure Ice Bikini. I am completely in love with this polish and think it will look flattering on anyone.

Beyond The Nail Shimmering Mermaid

Beyond the Nail is a great new brand that I am really impressed with. I didn't picture their bottles, but they are the same as Cult Nails, and I love that rounded look.

You can purchase both of these here at Beyond The Nail's esty shop for $9.00 for a full sized bottle. Also show them some Facebook love here! Since they are new they still have under 100 likes :O

What are your thoughts on these polishes? Will you be checking out Beyond The Nail?
