Morning friends!
Todays nails are a skittlette that I did that I'm still not entirely sold on. I was going out for the night with friends and needed something quick to do to my nails so they weren't bare, because the first thing all my friends always ask is 'Can I see your nails?!' Does this happen to anyone else out there?
The whole inspiration for this manicure was that I really wanted to wear KBShimmer What's Your Damage? because it really is the most awesome polish ever. I started off with 2 coats of that on my index and middle nails. Then since the glitter colours are hot pink, neon green and black, those were the accent colours that I went with.
I had originally planned to do gradients in pink and green, but kind of forgot once I got to that stage and ended up with plain accents. My thumb is rockin one of my all time favourite shades China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard and my pinky is wearing China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes. Both of which are from last summers neons collection. My stamped accent is a base of Cult Nails Tempest and PUEEN 09 with black creme.
What do you think of this funky skittlette?! Would you rock these bright colours together? I hope you are all having a great Tuesday loves!

Liquid Sand Gradients!
Press Sample
Morning loves!
I have been getting so lost on what day it is lately. Now that I'm done my thesis, I'm hanging out at home with the fam getting things organized for my vacation and my new apartment this fall. So I am totally forgetting what day it is, because I really don't have a schedule anymore! It's quite lovely, actually. Yesterday I sketched out 4 canvases and painted one for my sisters apartment. She asked me to 'practice' for her before I make ones for my apartment! lol! It's fun, but my wrist is sore as I write this up. BUT you're here to see nail polish, so let's jump to it!
When I first got the OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection I really wanted to try out a gradient. For this look I started out with OPI Honey Ryder the most fabulous multifaceted gold. I just love this polish. Then I sponged on OPI Vesper, a deep purple jelly with black sand pieces.I know I saw this combination somewhere before, but now I have no idea where lol.
This combination was really pretty, but I couldn't stand wearing it for more than about 15 hours lol. The texture on all my nails was a little too much for me I think. I love it as accents, but I think I prefer my nails smooth and maybe one or two accents of texture. Does anyone else feel this way?
Have you worn a textured gradient yet? Are you hopping on the textured bandwagaon? I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! I plan on sleeping in and then going out for sushi with my boyfriend! Love you all! <3

Gradients and Stamping Galore
Purchased by Me
Morning Friends!
Yes this has to be the least creative title ever, but it was all I could come up with at the moment lol. I was browsing through pinterest and found this amazing manicure and knew that I had to recreate it. Thankfully it uses all PUEEN nail plates which I just so happen to have!
To get this look I started off with a white base, using my current go to Cult Nails Tempest. Then using a make up sponge I got the gradient going using from cuticle to tip, Wet n Wild Lavender Creme, NYC Lexington Yellow and Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint. Once I was happy with my gradient I added a coat of Seche Vite and allowed that to dry completely.
Once my gradient was dry I got out my stamping tools. I always add top coat before I stamp over a gradient because you work so hard on a gradient you don't want to screw it up!! I needed 4 PUEEN plates to stamp this skittle look. My thumb is PUEEN 05, my index and middle nails are PUEEN 11, my ring nail is PUEEN 08 and finally my pinky is PUEEN 10. All the stamping was done using Wet n Wild Black Creme.
I absolutely loved this look! And even though it was a blatent copy of someone elses work I'm still pleased as punch with how it came out :) Do you like this bright gradient and stamped look?
I'm headed out for lunch with my grandparents today to celebrate finishing my thesis and being the first grandchild to finish university! I'm also the eldest so that helps, but I'm going to enjoy our lunch regardless! I hope you are all having a lovely day as well!

One In a Million Accents
Press Sample
Purchased by Me
Goooooood Morning!
I am very excited today because I found out that I did exceptionally well on my thesis! All that hard work has paid off in a huge way! =D Now I officially have passed I have my undergraduate degree! One degree down and I'll be starting on the next in the fall lol. Since all that stress is finally behind me I have more time to focus on my little corner of the internet. I know its been a little neglected lately, but I hope to get back into a more regular posting rhythm soon.
Todays nails are some accent nails that I wore for about a week while I was working on finishing my first draft of my thesis. I wouldn't change my nails because I needed to get the work done, and I just really loved this together. The glitter is LAVlacquer One In a Million. I showed the original swatch of this polish back here, and knew then that I would be wearing it again. It's such a pretty polish with so many brilliant flashes of colour!
For my accent nails I started off with my favourite white, Cult Nails Tempest and waited for that to dry completely. Then I used Black Creme and China Glaze Sunday Funday to freehand on the abstract floral pattern. I filled in the white with Sunday Funday just take away some of the white space. Finally I added one small purple rhinestone in the center of each flower to tie it all together.
Accent nails are always my favourite kind of look and I am head over heels for this one! I think the glitter really makes these nails pop and I'm so glad that it is part of my collection. What are your thoughts on this manicure?!
Hope you are all having a great Wednesday!

Freehanded Floral
Purchased by Me
Goood Morning loves!
I hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend. I am really enjoying being done my thesis and being able to spend time with family and friends. Yesterday was my second anniversary with my boyfriend! Unfortunately he had to work on the day, so today we are celebrating and doing something special. I'm really looking forward to just spending a day with him :)
I did these nails a few weeks back and just haven't gotten around to posting yet. Man my nails were long! lol I was perusing the internet looking for nail ideas when I decided to head back to Shutterstock. This used to be one of my go-to places to look for interesting and unique nail ideas. I found this Floral pattern and instantly knew I would be creating it on my nails.
I started off with Lime Crime Milky Way which I'm obsessed with. I know I'm late to the party on loving Lime Crime, but I'm still obsessed with this polish. Yes I have a back up bottle :D Once my base was dry I used my smallest nail art brush and Barielle Decadence to freehand on the flowers. I have to say I am really pleased with how these turned out!!
I think this type of floral pattern is one of my absolute favourites to draw. Normally I would only do a few nails and leave some accent of sorts, but I'm quite happy I spent the time to do all my nails! What are your thoughts on these?
I hope you enjoy your Sunday my loves!

Mint Manis For Talia Joy
Press Sample
Purchased by Me
Goooooood Evening lacquerheads!
I am very excited to let you all know that I am DONE my thesis! YAAAY! This means I am one presentation away from being done my undergrad :) Hopefully this means more time for blogging now :)
Today I am participating in Mint Manis For Talia Joy, honouring the life of the bright, young, amazing girl, Talia Joy Castellano. The idea for the mint mani theme was inspired by Talia's last Instagram posting, which was a mint manicure post featuring the hands of Talia, her mother, and her dear friend Tammy. For those of you that don't know Talia, she was an extremely talented 13-year-old makeup artist and YouTuber, who was battling two kinds of cancer (neuroblastoma and preleukemia) since she was diagnosed at only 7 years old. Despite all this, she still managed to keep upbeat, motivated, and overwhelmingly positive.
I started off with my current mint crush, China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer. I've worn this so much already that I may be needing a back up bottle someday. On my middle nail I started with China Glaze Glistening Snow and on my ring nail I used Cult Nails Tempest.
I freehanded the drips using Highlight Of My Summer and a striping brush then added the details using black and white creme. On my ring nail I first added the stripes with black creme and then added the large and small rhinestones because Talia loved a little bling on her nails.
You can share your mint manis for Talia on Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, etc. with the hashtags #MintManisforTalia and #TaliasLegacy. You can also add your mani to the Inlinkz collection below. I'm really excited to see what everyone else has come up with in honour of this beautiful and talented young girl who was taken from the world too soon. Keep Talia's family and friends in your prayers! <3

butter LONDON Color Clash Fall Collection Swatches
Press Sample
Evening Friends!
I thought I had scheduled this post for 7:30AM this morning, but apparently I didn't, so you're getting todays post a little later than usual. I have half of the butter LONDON Color Clash Fall Collection to share with you today. This Collection is not typical to fall in any way, which I love. The colours are fun and bright, reminding us we can wear neons and bright colours year round! Let's jump into the swatches.
butter LONDON Cake-Hole is a reproduction, meaning this is not a new shade BUT it fits with the rest of the collection so well! The description from the press release is, Opaque, nearly-neon pink cream which is pretty much spot on! This does dry to a plastic finish so I have shown it here without topcoat.
My swatch is 3 coats for complete opacity. You could probably get away with 2, but I still had a little visible nail line so I did 3 coats for good measure. Also included in the press release is what the name means and since these are such fun names, here is what Cake-Hole means, 1960s Brit slang referring to one's mouth...and the desire for it to remain closed.
butter LONDON Pimms is my new favourite yellow. Seriously this is amazing. The press release description is, Opaque, sunflower yellow cream which is exactly what this is! Shown with topcoat.
What makes Pimms so amazing is that it is this perfect in 2 easy coats! Most yellows are streaky and require at least 3 to get the perfect look. This is very opaque only needing 2 coats. L O V E! The definiion of Pimms from the press release is, Gin-based tradition at its finest...this refreshing beverage is almost as popular as English tea.
butter LONDON Giddy Kipper is the star of the show for this half of the collection. The press release description is, an Opaque, indigo shimmer. Spot on. I am dying over the shimmer in this one. It really is so pretty. The shimmer is brought out by topcoat so you want to make sure you have a coat of top coat on to really bring out the shine.
Again this had beautiful formula only needing 2 quick coats. You might be able to get away with one if you do thick coats, but I have used 2 for good measure. I wore Lac Attack Endless Summer over this which was an awesome combination and can be seen here. The definition of Giddy Kipper from the press release is, Refers to someone who is overly excited...like anyone who buys this lacquer will be! haha so true. Blue lovers will need this one.
I'm loving this half of the collection. The colours are bright and fun and I will most certainly be wearing these as we get into cooler weather. What are your thoughts on these?!
The butter LONDON Color Clash Fall Collection is available starting today! Some places have already been spotted carrying the collection so you should be able to get your hands on it. Canadians can purchase HERE for $17 CAD a bottle or get a discount for buying the whole collection. Remember to keep up with butter LONDON on Facebook here!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Tape: Measuring Tape!
Purchased by Me
Morning friends!
We are at the end of tape week and I have finally come up with a 'cheat' around using tape that still falls within our theme! Measuring tape nails!
haha I feel so good that I managed to find a way not to use tape for the last day :) For this manicure I started off with 3 coats of my favourite yellow, Cult Nails Feel Me Up. Then using my favourite cut down nail art brush and Wet n Wild Black Creme I freehanded on the tick marks and the numbers!
On my thumb I put tick marks and one of the most common lengths of tape measures, 7 m. It was looking a little empty so I added the TM sign. Add a coat of NYC In a Minute Top Coat and I'm good to go!
I'm super pleased with how these came out and super happy I didn't have to use more tape! :D
What do you think of these tape measure nails? Check out the rest of my comrades below!
