Pretty and Polished Hello Dolly

Morning folks!

I have a really quick post for you this morning showcasing a wonderful polish made by Chels of Pretty and Polished! Here is Hello Dolly!

pretty-and-polished-helly-dolly

Hello Dolly is a clear jelly base packed with white, pink, and lavender hexagon glitters and tiny pink prism glitters that give it its beautiful holographic shine! You can see some of the shine in the above picture, it was gorgeous! I have layered it over 1 coat of Essie's Marshmallow.

This polish screams girly girl to me and I absolutely love it!! I had to fish a little bit to get the big pieces of glitter onto my nail, but nothing crazy.

Hello Dolly has endless layering combinations and I'm really excited to try out more!
It can be purchased for $8.50 for a 15mL full size bottle or $4.75 for a 7mL mini bottle from Chels's Etsy shop. She is currently in vacation mode, but it looks like she will be back with a re-stock next Wednesday! You can sign up for an email notice for when she returns to her shop.

What do you think of my combination here?

I hope you are all having a great Friday and have awesome weekend plans! I am off to a wedding in Ottawa and I can't wait!!! Have a great day ladies :)

Cult Nails Seduction

Morninggg!

I have the last polish in the Cult Nails Divas and Drama Collection for you today, Seduction. This polish is a simply gorgeous purple/red jelly base absolutely filled with red, blue and pink iridescent flakies.

Now before you look at my pictures, I had a hell of a hard time capturing this to look like it did in real life.

My camera, like most, hates purples. This is showing up a lot bluer than it is IRL. I used 3 coats with no undies for this swatch, but next time I wear it I will probably use a purple or blue jelly underneath to save on flakie goodness.

It looks as though there is a little VNL, but this was not visible IRL. Can you see how PACKED this is with flakies?! I'm absolutely in love with it. This has to be tied with Scandalous for my favourite in the collection.

I had to play around with lighting to try and get this as close to real life as possible, and I think the above picture is close, so I apologise that my hands look weird. Maria created this polish right after Clairvoyant/Unicorn Puke when a friend said she would like it without the green flakies in it. I was never fortunate enough to get my hands on Unicorn Puke, but seeing swatches and comparing I am head over heels in love with Seduction!

When I was deciding what kind of nail art to do with this, I had a hard time, because I kept thinking up awesome possibilities! I finally settled on a slightly butterfly inspired look.

To get this look I grabbed my Black Stripe Rite striper and created some lines and rounded off the tops. Then filled in the top with black. I finally grabbed my rhinestones and added a purple and two clear ones at the base of the lines!

I LOVED wearing this! The flakies are incredibly gorgeous and kept catching the light. I just loved the added rhinestones too :) I'm on a bit of a rhinestone kick lately! lol

Aren't you just falling in love with how gorgeous this is?!?! I'm dying over here. It's still on my nails and I'm not taking it off until I absolutely have to!! :D

Seduction is a limited edition polish and is still available at Cult Nails for $10 USD. I would scurry over there and get yourself one 10 minutes ago before this bad boy sells out. Actually I would hope that you get the ENTIRE Divas and Drama Collection. It is a stunning collection and I do not regret having every polish.

What do you think of Seduction? Do you love it as much as I do?

What about my nail art? Like the butterfly inspired nails?

Cult Nails Scandalous

Morning loves!

Day 3 in Cult Nails Divas and Drama Week, brings us to Scandalous. An absolutely gorgeous coral jelly. This has to be my favourite polish in the collection. First of all it's a jelly. A perfect, squishy jelly that can be built to opaque in 3 coats, but maintains its jelly quality.

cult-nails-scandalous

Can you see how squishy that is?! Eeee I'm dying with love over here.

cult-nails-scandalous

I used 4 coats here to reach full opacity. It was pretty opaque in 3 coats, but I used four just to reach maximum opacity. These types of polishes are sheer by nature and are used in nail art and layering. I can imagine so many layering possibilities for this polish. It's so exciting! :D

Maris says, "This polish was requested by a cultie and former blogger Scandalous Ange on Twitter one night. Thanks to the power of the internet, live on Twitter we each mixed and compared and worked repeatedly to make this polish everything she wanted it to be. I love being able to bring people the colours they want."

I debated about what to do for this nail art. I had 3 or 4 ideas and narrowing it down was a bit of a challenge, but then I saw Manipulative and Scandalous side by side on my desk and I knew that they needed to be used together.

I used a large dotting tool and dotted Manipulative in random places on my nail. Then I grabbed a smaller dotting tool and Wet n Wild Black Creme and dotted around the blue dots to create a Scandalous leopard print ;)

I love how well these colours complement each other! I got a lot of compliments when I wore this. It's really eye catching and a really easy look to achieve with just a dotting tool!

The gorgeous squishy goddess that is Scandalous can be purchased for $10USD from Cult Nails. It is 4 free and cruelty free and well ridiculously freakin gorgeous. I would head over there and buy yourself one right now!

I can see myself reaching for this polish again and again. It is completely unique in my collection and I absolutely adore it.

What do you think about jellies? Do you like Scandalous?

How do you like my scandalous nail art? ;)

I'll see you all tomorrow for the last polish in the collection Seduction!

Cult Nails Enticing

Morning dears!

This is day two in Cult Nails Divas and Drama Week. Today I will be showing you Enticing.
Enticing is a sheer pale pink polish, that is build able to an almost opaque finish. I used 3 coats for all of my photos.

cult-nails-enticing

This colour is such a classy pink. It looks absolutely perfect for work or for a girl on the go.

Maria says, "This polish has been one of the top rated polishes my friends have been asking me to make. After hearing it repeatedly, I broke down. One friend in particular pointed out to me that it is the only colour she wears and I would have to make one for her."

The formula on this was great. Very sheer, but can be built up to an almost opaque finish with a few coats. I can see myself wearing this for job interviews and once I'm back on a 9-5 schedule.

cult-nails-enticing

For my nail art I wanted to go with something that played up the romantic feel of the polish.

cult-nails-enticing

I mixed some white and silver acrylic paint and drew on a triangle. Then I added the scallops using a striping brush. I then took a dotting tool and added the dots along the edges of the scallops, then added the lines and another dot along the top. Then I went back with Enticing and added some detail in the triangle.

I love how classy this look is. It would be perfect for a date, or a wedding.

cult-nails-enticing

Although normally I don't tend towards shades like this, I love this one! It has something a little extra once it is on your nail that made me fall in love with it.

Enticing can be purchased from Cult Nails for $10USD. It is 4 free and cruelty free. This is completely unique in my collection and I am really surprised by how much I love it!

Do you like sheer shades like this? Or do you prefer more opaque cremes?

What do you think about my lace nail art?

I'll see you all tomorrow with some Scandalous nails! ;)

Sincerely Stephanie
