China Glaze Cirque Du Soliel Swirly Art

Oh. Em. Gee.

Guys when half this collection showed up at my house last Wednesday I nearly died. I didn't know it was coming and when I opened the package I must have squeaked like a 3 year old opening presents on Christmas morning. Within an hour of opening the package I had already at down and used 4 of the polishes in nail art. I have to say this is a first for me. Ok, I'm a little calmer now. Here's the nail art I did!

I have to say this upfront, I loved these nails. My boyfriend said they were his favourite I've done in awhile. I think I loved them so much because of the base. China Glaze It's a Trap-Eze is really something special. Multi coloured glitter in a milky off white, slightly leaning lavender base? Yes please. Every glitter lover ever needs this polish. There is seriously more glitter than base in it. OK I'll stop gushing. I will have a full review of all the polishes up soon.

I used two coats of It's a Trap-Eze and then added a coat of Seche Vite to have a smooth surface for nail art. Then I just started adding wavy lines from my cuticle out in no particular pattern. I used one polish at a time to give the lines a little bit of a layered look. I started with China Glaze Igniting Love which is a tomatoe red with some pink undertones. It looks more pink here, but built up it will look more red. Then I used China Glaze Hanging In The Balance which is a true cerulean blue. This is GORGEOUS in real life, however it seems most cameras freak out about this blue. They fail to pick up the green undertones and make it seem much different. Finally I finished my lines with China Glaze Def Defying which is a gorgeous chartreuse. That is just such a fun word to say! This is a definite favourite for me. Well they are all favourites really!

I just love this. It seems very Cirque Du Soliel to me. I was going for some movement within the lines to represent the amazing movement that the acrobats are able to do.

I will have my swatches of these beauties up soon! I promise! I also will be doing more nail art with these as I can't resist. They are too awesome.

What do you think of this nail art with the new China Glaze Cirque Du Soliel Collection? Have you ever seen the show?

Have a magnificent day my loves!

  1. What a fun mani! I'm loving these polishes (ESPECIALLY that glitter!!), but I feel like most of the solid colours have dupes out there.. any in your stash that you can compare?

    1. Thanks Julie! The Polishaholic has a really great comparison post. I looked through my stash and didn't see many dupes that I had myself. Some I thought, but in the bottle they looked quite different. I'll keep an eye out though!
