The Last Twin Post with Carmela - MASH 49

Morning Loves! Today is the last twin post with Carmela of Polished Indulgence! If you haven't seen any of our twin posts yet, you can check out all of mine here :) I'm sad this is coming to an end, it was so much fun to come up with these! Todays requirement is using MASH 49. I'm not going to lie this one stumped me a little. The plate has a cool giraffe pattern, some stars, a crown, tidal waves (or wind blowing?) and an interesting looking flower. I thought about a number of different ways to use this plate and had a hard time coming up with something that I really liked. Plus I wanted to finish twin posting with a bang! I eventually settled on the cool giraffe pattern and I think this is my favourite twin post that I came up with!

For this look I started with two easy coats of OPI Cuckoo for This Color from the 2010 Swiss Collection on all but my index nail. I found this a few months ago for cheap in Trade Secrets and had yet to use it. It's a sparkly forest green blue shimmer. It shows up more green in my photos, but in the right light, it gives a stunning blue shimmer. On my index I used 2 coats of Bille Gold, a gold foil, and then used Gold to stamp with MASH-49 on all my nails but on my index I used CFTC to stamp with. Finally I freehanded some triangles on with CTFC and a medium length striping brush then added gold studs from Born Pretty Store along the triangles to give it some oomph.

This felt very rich to me. I really like the green gold combination and I realized after that I did a similar colour combination before here, but shush that's ok right? lol

Have our twin posts made you want these MASH plates? Do you already own them? Which one is your favourite plate?

Hope you're all having a fabulous day! :D

Twin Post 3rd Times a Charm - MASH 47

It's time for the third twin post with Carmela of Polished Indulgence! We're now onto Carmela's picks, her first plate up is MASH 47. Now before I show you this, I think this manicure looked a lot better in my head. When I first was looking at the images on this plate, one really stood out to me. It reminded me of ninja stars. I thought putting them over silver would look totally badass. Unfortunately I ended up with...

They look like snowflakes! I think my mistake was using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Co-Balt Blue instead of black. But alas Co-Balt Blue was sitting out and in my head it looked wicked, I promise. The silver base is 2 coats of my favourite silver foil, Sally Hansen Celeb City.

I tried rotating the stamp on each of my nails to get a different pattern of ninja stars, or snowflakes? The rotating went pretty well, easier to get different patterns, I'm still just dipping my toe into this whole stamping thing so I'm learning every time :)

Well folks, badass ninja stars or wintertime snowflakes? Let me know what you think these look like!

This was my first time using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes to stamp, and they are awesome! I'm really impressed with the quality, and once this no-buy is over I plan on picking up a few more! If you have any shade suggestions I would love to hear :D

Since this is the first of Carmela's picks I'm really excited to see what she came up with!! Swing on over to Polished Indulgence to check out what I',m sure is an ah-mazzziinnggg! manicure!

Hope you are all having a great Friday! Thanks for stopping by!! :D

Twin Post with Carmela Take Two - MASH 41

Morning! Time for the second twin post with Carmela of Polished Indulgence! If you missed our first twin post, you can find it here. This is my second pick, MASH-41. When I looked at this plate there was one design that really stood out to me. This was the intersecting wavy lines!

Twin Post with Carmela of Polished Indulgence MASH 39

Good Morning lacquered lovelies!! Today I will be starting a series of twin posts with the lovely Carmela of Polished Indulgence! Awhile back I was on twitter and mentioned how much I wanted the new MASH plates but wasn't about to pay $20.00 for shipping to Canada. So Marta of ChitChat Nails chimed in and mentioned that both myself and Carmela were after the plates and since we're both in Southern Ontario we should order the plates together! Well we ordered them that day. Once we both got our hands on them we decided to do some twin posts! We both picked two plates and put no other restrictions on it than we had to use the plate in the manicure! We will be going in numerical order so the first two days will be my picks and the last two will be Carmelas! First up we will be using MASH-39.

I was feeling something really subtle and pretty. Cult Nails Charming was sitting near the front of my plastic drawers and it was staring at me begging to be used. So I whipped it out and did 2 lovely coats. This is a charming purple jelly creme (see what I did there? *nervous laugh*) with a beautiful lilac/pink shimmer throughout it. It is really velvety and beautiful. I used Konad Special Polish in Purple and stamped with of course MASH-39!

After all the crazy manicures I sport, sometimes a pretty subtle look is what my nails crave. There is a shimmer in Konad Purple that complements beautifully with the lilac shimmer in Charming. This whole manicure was shimmering and I loved the look!

Do your nails ever crave something a little more subtle? Or do you always sport a crazy look? Or maybe you always go for something a little more subtle? What's your nail style?

Make sure you head over to Carmela's blog Polished Indulgence to see what she came up with using MASH-39!

Hope you are having a fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by!!! :D
