I've got some more Essence beauties to show you this morning! So sit back relax and look at some of the pretties :)
A Modern Romance This is a sheer light pink that built up really nicely in 3 coats. What makes this polish really special is that it has a subtle hot pink shimmer running throughout it! Now I had a hell of a time capturing this shimmer on camera, but trust me IRL this baby was awesome!!
Wanna Be Your Sunshine Awwww yeaaa I wanna be your sunshine! This was so bright that it kind of shocked me! I have used this in nail art before, but I didn't expect this to be so awesome! Perfect for the summer :D It started out with a lot of bald spots, but built up really nicely in 2 coats. There is a really pretty subtle shimmer running throughout it.
You Belong to Me Oh yes oh yes you do! This is a gorgeous mint green blue with subtle shimmer throughout. This reminds me of Cult Nails Manipulative, but much lighter, just the shimmer running throughout it. This is one of my favourites from the bunch. Shocker I love a blue ;)
Lime Up! This is an awesome lime green/yellow creme. This is another one that I love and am pretty sure it's a dupe for OPI's Did It On 'Em from the Nicki Minaj Collection or OPI's Fiercely Fiona. This is 2 coats of Lime Up!
Let's Get Lost This was fabulous. Two coats of perfection. Went on smoothly and I loved it so much. I'm pretty sure this is a dupe for OPI's Fly from the Nicki Minaj Collection.
Loving these polishes! Again formula on all of these was great and I'll have to do a comparison for Lime Up! and Let's Get Lost.

I have a bit of Essence swatch spam to show you. Recently Essence showed up in Canada, YAY! They carry a line of 20 5mL polishes in Shoppers Drug Mart. I have managed to find 15 of them and I don't feel bad about that because they are only $1.49 each! Love! I'm going to show you my collection throughout the rest of the week :)
Wake Up! And woah does this polish wake you up! It is a really bright orange creme. I used 3 coats here to get rid of a few bald spots. This is so in your face and wonderful, I can see using it in a bunch of nail art too!
Look at how bright that is! :D
Walk on Air This is a stunning royal blue jelly creme. I needed 3 coats for this swatch. Not terribly unique, but I really like it!
Again I can see myself using this in a lot of nail art.
Space Queen This is a micro glitter topcoat. The glitter almost looks slightly holo and iridescent. This is one coat over Walk on Air
Walk of Fame This is a purple toned brown, taupe creme. I don't think I have anything else like it in my collection! Unfortunately the bottle that I got had a crazy wonky brush! It took a lot of clean up. It needed two coats. I might pick up another bottle of this to try and get a better brush. I do really like the colour though!
A Luxury Secret Now I don't know where the luxury is on this one. It's a nice polish, but not really my thing. It's a dark brown, steely gray frosty shimmer. I felt like I could see brush strokes. This is 2 coats.
I'm so excited that these little babies have made it to Canada and for such a cheap price! The formula on all of them was awesome. I'm really happy that I've got these and hope some of the LE ones will make it here too!

So I have seen around that a number of people have been doing nail art using their nude nail. So I decided to give it a shot with a half moon mani. I've really been on a half moon kick lately they look so classic ;)
I started by putting reinforcements over my nude nail. Then I grabbed Orly's Rock The World and painted over the reinforcement. Rock the World is from the Mineral FX collection released last year. It's a purple, red base with gold and holo shimmer throughout. You can see all the glorious shine in the photos! Then I took Elemental Styles 79 Fool's Gold and just placed it over the nude part of my nail. 79 Fools Gold is a clear jelly based gold glitter polish with hints of holo glitter.
I'm seriously loving how sparkly this combination is! It just makes me giddy. In the sunlight this bad boy was epic let me tell you lol.
Half-moons are really easy to achieve and can look really great in a number of combinations! I anticipate a lot more of them in my future :)
