Gooooood Afternoon loves!
Starting tomorrow I will be beginning the first challenge that I have ever come up with, the Geometric Nail Art Challenge!
I absolutely love geometric nail art designs and thought it would be fun to come up with some themes to do a month full of geometric nail art designs. I am so lucky to be participating with some outstandingly talented bloggers, Victoria of Manicurator,
Emily of The Lacquerologist,
Whitney of Dressed Up Nails,
Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog,
Alexis of XOXO Alexis Leigh, and
Brittney of Precious Polish! We will be posting a new design every 3 days to take us until the end of February.
I can't wait to see what these talented ladies come up with and I hope you all enjoy the next month of Geometric designs! :D

Abstract Art Fail
Hey ladies and gents!
Today I have a total fail of a mani to share with you. I actually did these back during January's Digit-al Dozen Art Week but hated them so took them off right away and started over, but I took pictures and I don't have anything else to share right now so here they are!
I found this painting online and thought it looked really cool, but I didn't translate it well enough onto the nail.
I was hoping that by doing a ruffian it would emulate the waving black bottom of the painting. Also instead of doing squares I thought dotting tools would work. Again not so much.
I used a bunch of polishes for this and I've listed them all below,
Julep Stella
Wet n Wild Black Creme
Maybelline Color Show Auburn Ablaze
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red
Barielle Pin Up
Miliani White On The Spot
China Glaze Desert Sun
Revlon Bare Bones
Joe Fresh Caramel
I always said I would share my fails on here because they aren't always perfect! So what do you guys think of this Abstract Art fail?
I have some exciting news to share with you all tomorrow so stay tuned for that lovely ladies!!

A Model's Geometry
Goooood Morning my dears!
Kelsie of Kelsie's Nail Files is having a nail art contest to celebrate her one year blogaversary! The requirements for the contest are to come up with nails inspired by a photo on her Pinterst Nail Inspiration Board. She has a ton of images that I could pick from but I kept going back to one model on a runway and came up with this!
The nails were inspired by this image,
Cool right?! I really like the outfit and since geometric designs are kinda ma thang this outfit totally called out to me!
From my thumb to middle nail I started with Miliani White On The Spot my go to white creme and then drew on the design using Wet n Wild Black Creme and my medium length striping brush. Then I went back with Model's Own Hedkandi Balearic Cool and filled in some stripes. On my ring nail and pinky I did 3 coats of Balearic Cool to emulate her bright blue pants!
I quite like the outcome of these nails! They are fun and incorportate my favourite thing, geometric prints!
There are a lot of great entries to her contest already and I encourage all of you to head over to her Pinterest board and enter!
What do you all think of these nails? Hope you guys are having a great Monday! :D

Hockey's Back! Go Leafs Go!
Happy Saturday people!
Last night I asked you all whether you would rather see some nail art today or the China Glaze Glitz-Bitz 'N Pieces swatches! It was really close, but nail art won out by a few late twitter votes. So nail art today and the fabulous glitterbombs tomorrow!
Last week the NHL lockout finally came to an end and the 2013 season began!! Growing up in the Toronto area I was bred to be a leaf fan. And once you're a leaf fan, you're ALWAYS a leaf fan! So I was stoked for hockey to be back on TV. Tonight is Hockey Night in Canada so what better time to share my Go Leafs Go nails!
I think it's pretty obvious that these are Toronto Maple Leaf nails, but I took inspiration from all sorts of different places.
My index nail is an interpretation of Ben Scrivens mask, my middle nail is their socks, ring nail is the maple leaf with TML in the middle and my pinky is an interpreation of a hat that I saw. My thumb is GO LEAFS GO!!
To do all of this I used Milani White On The Spot, Essie Mesmerize, GOSH Holographic Hero and black creme and my cut down nail art brush.
The leafs are playing the New York Rangers tonight so they will need all the luck they can get. The Rangers are staaaaccckked. I'll be watching and cheering them along until the end!
I love these nails and I've already got ideas for more NHL related nails. I love hockey and I'm SO happy it's back! :D

Sweetie Shop Saran Wrap
Ok, strange title I know, but the mani is pretty! I showed you all swatches of butter LONDON's Sweetie Shop Collection and this is how I wore Fiver!
This is two coats of butter LONDON Fiver with butter LONDON Molly Coddled saran wrapped on top. I adore these colours together. I don't think this was a combination I would normally pair, but when they were sitting on my desk beside each other they looked perfect!
I loved this but wanted to add a little something extra so I took out my silver holographic glequins from Born Pretty Store and added a ruffian!
You can't see the holo goodness here, but just the touch of holo at my cuticle was such a pretty accent! I enjoyed moving my hand around in the sun just to catch a glimmer of rainbow.
I love these Sweetie Shop lacquers! The pastels are such perfect colours for spring and I can't wait to use them again in other combinations.
What do you think of my Sweetie Shop saran wrap? If you want to check out full swatches see my post here!
Would you have paired these two shades together? How about the holographic ruffian?
Week's almost over people! Only two more days to go people!
Products in this post provided for my honest review.

butter LONDON Sweetie Shop Collection Swatches and Review
Morning loves! Today I have some swatches of the new butter LONDON Sweetie Shop Collection. This is a collection filled with beautiful pastels that are perfect for spring. There are six lacquers in the collection and I have three of them to share with you today!
butter LONDON Kerfuffle. This polish is described as an, opaque pink coral crème, which is a pretty spot on description. This is a tad brighter in person, but my camera freaked out a little on this one.
The formula was awesome, perfectly smooth and shiny in two coats. I am showing it with one coat of NYC In a Minute Top Coat as well. This colour is really hip for spring and will be flattering on most skin tones.
Next up we have butter LONDON Molly-Coddled. This is described as an, opaque lavender orchid crème, which again is spot on. This colour is absolutely beautiful and I wore it for a day with some gold glitter accent nails.
Again, perfect two coater formula. I have done one coat of NYC In a Minute Top Coat over two coats here. I can see this colour being really popular, the pastal purple is really pretty and should flatter most skin tones.
Last up my personal favourite, butter LONDON Fiver. This is described as an, opaque icy mint crème. I adore this colour. Even though emerald green is the pantone colour of 2013 I love a mint greens. My go to colour has been Essie Mint Candy Apple, but these two are not dupes. Fiver is more green, while Mint Candy Apple has some serious blue undertones. I was going to do a comparison, but the bottles were so different that I didn't bother.
Again this had a perfect formula, two coats and it was beautifully smooth. There is one coat of NYC In a Minute Top Coat over two coats here. This is a great colour for winter, especially since it is SO COLD right now! Perfectly icy indeed.
Overall I really like the combination of pastels in this collection. The formula is what really stands out for me. Generally pastels tend to be streaky and need 3+ coats to be smooth, but these were beautiful in just two coats. In my collection these colours were unique. Every polish that I pulled out to possibly compare was just too different in the bottle.
What do you think of these pastel cremes? Are they something that you can see yourself wearing? If you're in Canada you can order these here for $17.00 a polish or $85.00 for the whole collection. These should be starting to pop up in stores now or in the next few weeks. Also if you're in Canada you should like butter LONDON Canada's new Facebook page!
Will you be picking up any? Hope you're having a great Wednesday and I hope it's warmer where you are!
