China Glaze Advant Garden Collection: Blooming Brights Swatches

Happy Saturday people!

Today I have some absolutely fabulous new lacquers to show you from the upcoming China Glaze Advant Garden Collection. I have 6 of the 12 polishes to share with you, the Blooming Brights!

There are 3 cremes and 3 shimmers in this half of the collection so click read more to check these beauties out! All swatches have one coat of NYC In A Minute Top Coat as well.

China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's
China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's is described in the press release as, "coral with a light wash of shimmer". The description is pretty spot on! The shimmer pulls golden making this a beautiful shade for spring. This was 2 easy coats.

China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's

I was not expecting to like this one that much, but it is a surprise favourite for me! This is a perfect pedicure colour and it is actually residing on my toes! I love it!

China Glaze Budding Romance

China Glaze Budding Romance is described as, "a moss green". I have to say I did not like this one at all. It is a jelly creme hybrid so this took 3 coats. There is some serious yellow pigmentation in this polish that made it essentially impossible to clean up. I am not that messy as it is and I had minimal clean up to do. As soon as acetone touched this the yellow pigment went everywhere. I spent about half an hour trying to clean this up and this was the best I could do.

This also pulls really weird on my skin tone. I have some serious lobster hands going on here. Sorry guys this one just isn't for me. On an olive skintone I can see this being beautiful.

China Glaze Sunday Funday

China Glaze Sunday Funday is described as, "a bright blue" and boy is this a bright blue! None of you should be surprised that I love this. This blue is as bright as it gets without being neon. I really like that it's not a neon and still a perfect bright blue. I've been searching for a polish like this and am so glad I have this in my collection! This is 2 perfect coats.

China Glaze Sunday Funday

Gah how could anyone not love this. Wearing this polish would make anyday a FUNDAY! ;) Did anyone laugh? If you did let me know lool

China Glaze Passion For Petals

China Glaze Passion For Petals is described as, "a bright salmon pink". I think this is a little darker than salmon, I would describe it more as a dusty bright pink. This was 2 easy coats.

China Glaze Passion For Petals

This was another surprise favourite for me. There are probably dupes out there, but I have nothing like it in my collection. This will be another really popular pedi colour!

China Glaze Passion For Petals
China Glaze Fancy Pants

China Glaze Fancy Pants is described as, "indigo with pink and purple shimmer". This is actually a gorgeous shade. It is slightly darker than showing up here and the shimmer hardly showed up. In real like the shimmer is absolutely gorgeous. It flashes pink and purple depending on how you move your hand and is just beautiful.

China Glaze Fancy Pants

I quite like this one as well. Please trust me that this is even more beautiful in real life. The below picture shows the shimmer best I believe. This was 2 coats.

China Glaze Fancy Pants
China Glaze Snap My Dragon

China Glaze Snap My Dragon is described as, "bright red with pink shimmer". That describes this polish absolutely perfectly. The pink shimmer comes through more than the red in some lights making this look like a hot pink, but it really is a red with pink. This was 2 coats.

China Glaze Snap My Dragon

There have been similar colours released this past year, but have been more glassfleck finishes instead of shimmers. I can't think of any dupes off the top of my head, but I know there are some similar ones out there.

China Glaze Snap My Dragon

Overall I quite like this half of the collection! The formula on all of these was perfect creme 2 coaters minus Budding Romance. My picks from this half would be Mani's Before Mimosa's, Passion for Petals and Fancy Pants. All of these are beautiful and make for a nice and bright spring collection!

The other half of the collection can be seen in the press release here. All 12 lacquers will be available in March, so hopefully in the next few weeks we will start to see etailers releasing these!

Which of these blooming brights will you be picking up?! Any of them calling your name?

Hope you are having a stellar weekend my dears!

  1. They're all lovely! Shame about Budding Romance. I love the color but the yellow staining is not good. I have to clean up a lot so I'd have that stain up to my knuckles, lol.

  2. I really really wanted to love fancy pants. Unfortunately, I wish it was a creme rather than a shimmer. :( They are very pretty colors though. Nice swatches!

  5. I love all of these shades except for Budding Romance. Not a fan of that shade of green at all.

  8. I need Fancy Pants. And a few others. Oh who am I kidding, I'll probably buy them all! Except the green one, that is not my shade.

  9. Based on the press release, I wanted Mimosas before Manis, Passion for Petals, and Snap my Dragon. But after seeing your swatches, Passion for Petals is not the salmon I was hoping for (still pretty though), but I still want MbM, and SmD and you make me want Sunday Funday too. It would probably look terrible with my skin though. Is it weird that I generally don't care if my polish clashes with my skintone?

  10. I want all of these but I am basically crying over how pretty Fancy Pants is. I want it right now.

Also, the punctuation in Mimosas Before Manis makes me die a little on the inside.
