Winter Flowers

Purchased by Me

Afternoon Everyone!

I'm pulling out some manis that I have in the vault because I'm having a hard time even doing my nails right now. Being on crutches makes everything 10x more tiring than it should be also swatching is temporarily out of the question. Normally I wash my hands after I remove my polish to restore a little moisture back into my hands, and crutching to the bathroom and back is a bit of a trip lol. So I hope you enjoy some older nail art for the time being!

I actually did these way back in January! Then had too many swatches and reviews to post and challenges to do and I never got around to these. But I really loved them! And since a snowstorm has struck again here in Southern Ontario I figured it was as good a time as ever to post them.

I started with one of my favourite polishes Essence Grey-t To Be Here a gray with a slight pink shimmer. Then I started freehanding some flowers using black creme and my medium length striping brush. I didn't really follow anything, I just went with the flow.

Then I went back with white creme and my same striping brush and added some outlines to the flowers to give them some more definition. Finally I went back and highlighted some areas with China Glaze Secret Peri-Winkle to add a little more winter to my flowers. I also did both hands!

I really wish spring would hurry up and get here and the snow would stop. I want to see some gorgeous colourful flowers and not mounds of white snow. Also it would make the chances of me falling again a little less lol

What do you think of my wintery flowers? Are you ready for spring as well? I hope you guys are having a great day and that it isn't snowing like a monster where you are.

  1. I hope your ankle heals quickly! I'm in Toronto, and we didn't get too much snow, but I'd really like for the weather to make up it's mind! Also I love this design especially the way you painted it freehand. I'm glad you got a chance to post it. :)

    1. thank you Meghan :)
I'm in Waterloo so just an hour or so north and the snow is ridiculous! It would be awful nice if it made up its mind!

  2. Gorgeous manicure. Love the colors. No snow today but -37 wind chill this morning. People in Sask. are desperate for spring. In the meantime we have to enjoy the flowers on your fingers because with the amount of snow it will be awhile before to tulips show themselves. Take care and hope your ankle doesn't pain you too much.
