China Glaze Glitz-Bitz 'N Pieces Swatches and Review

Goooood Morning!

Today I have swatches of the upcoming China Glaze Glitz-Bitz 'N Pieces Collection. These are glittertastic glitterbombs and are all wonderful.

I have a ton of pictures of these gorgeous polishes so click through the jump to check these bad boy glitterbombs out!

I'm going to make a quick note about all of these so I don't repeat myself on each polish. These are all ONE COAT of the glitter. They are insanely glitter dense, so almost seem a little chunky, but I don't think there is any way around that. I would say that its better than there just being a few glitters floating in lots of base. All swatches have one coat of NYC In a Minute Top Coat, but to actually wear these you will need 2 coats of top coat because the glitter will eat it up.

China Glaze Scattered and Tattered

China Glaze Scattered and Tattered over China Glaze Escaping Reality. Scattered and Tattered is a red and black glitter in a clear base. There is bar glitter, large, medium and small red and black hexes and some teeny tiny glitters!

Love the red and black combination. There are so many colours this would look fantastic layered over!

China Glaze Mosaic Madness

China Glaze Mosaic Madness over China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-le. This is an sapphire blue and black glitter in a clear base. I especially love this shade of blue glitter and this is one of the stand outs in the collection to me.

China Glaze Mosaic Madness

I mean come on?! I know I have a blue obsession, but I think all of you will agree this is fantastic.

China Glaze Razzle Me, Dazzle

China Glaze Razzle Me, Dazzle over Essence Grey-t To Be Here. This is a light pink glitter with black glitter. The pink is really cute, but has a tendency to look silver or copper in some lighting.

I like this over grey, but I'm disappointed that it didn't show up as pink in these photos.

China Glaze Glitz N Pieces

China Glaze Glitz N Pieces over China Glaze Gothic Lolita. This is one that I think is going to be verrrryyy popular. The silver and black glitters in this are so versatile and this is going to look fantastic over essentially every colour out there.

I really do like this combination and can't wait to try it out over every possible colour! :D

China Glaze Bling It On

China Glaze Bling It On over Sally Hansen Ion. This is a royal purple and black glitter. The purple glitter leans blue half the time, but is definitely much darker than Mosaic Madness.

China Glaze Bling It On

This is another standout to me. The deep blurple glitter is fantastic and I have to say I'm in luurrrrrrvee.

China Glaze Graffiti Glitter

China Glaze Graffiti Glitter over China Glaze Gaga For Green. Emerald and black glitter in a clear base?! YES PLEASE!

China Glaze Graffiti Glitter

This is going to be another popular one especially with emerald being the pantone colour of 2013! This will look great over a number of shades of green or blue or white, I just love it.

China Glaze Graffiti Glitter

Overall I adore this collection. China Glaze has totally responded to what us nail ladies want in putting out an extremely indie-esque collection. If you don't like bar glitter then you might want to take a pass on these, however I am not a bar glitter fan myself and I really like these. There is so much other glitter packed in there that I don't even notice the bars. The proportion of black to coloured glitter is just right and one doesn't overwhelm the other on the nail. I'm thrilled that these are all in my collection, but my picks would have to be Graffiti Glitter, Mosaic Madness and Bling It On.

What are your picks?! This is supposed to be a February release, so this week yay! but I have heard that it is popping up all over the place already and is on online etailers.

Which glitterific glitterbombs do you want to take home?!

  1. Good swatches. I seem to be finding a lot of different results when looking at swatches of these glitters. I have seen your swatches which has them being 1 coat of a lot of glitter and others which show 1 coat barely having any glitter. I wonder why that is.

    1. thanks Lizzy! The reason I can think is I tend to do thicker coats in general. If someone swipes a lot of polish off the brush then swatches less glitter will be on the brush? That is my general thought on it.

  3. Nice swatches and they do look cool. I think I'm going to pass on this collection though. The other China Glaze collections for the coming year are calling to me much more strongly.
