The Digit-al Dozen Does Tape: Pink and Glitter!

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Goooooooood Morning loves!

We're back at it this week with another rendition of The Digit-al Dozen! The theme this week is tape. Bleh, I do not like tape manicures. I generally end up getting annoyed with the tape and it sticks everywhere and I get frustrated. SO this week is going to be a challenge. I'm not entirely pleased with todays nails, but its a start!

Striping Tape Nails

I started out with China Glaze Bottoms Up from the new Sunsational Neons Collection on my first 3 nails and Cult Nails Tempest on my ring and pinky nails. On my thumb and index nail I tried to just get some stripes down with striping tape. I put the stripes down and then painted butter LONDON Fairy Cake over the tape then removed it. I forgot one of the cardinal rules of using tape to only do one nail at a time! So my index nail looks all wonky thick.

I was sick of tape by the middle nail, so I resorted to a glitter gradient. On my last 2 nails I attempted the watercolour technique with Bottoms Up to give those nails a softer look. Then I added some square silver studs from Born Pretty Store.

I think I liked these nails more in my mind than in reality, but it's a start to tape week! Hopefully I can pull out something a little better as the week goes on LOL!

What are your thoughts on these pink and glitter nails!? Check out the rest of the Digit-al Dozen below!

    1. thank you! It involves placing dots of polish on your nail and then taking a big brush dipped in acetone and placing that on the dots to spread out the polish and take out some of the colour.

  5. Oh I like these! Are you using tweezers for tape? I've been practicing and the little snippits are a pain but tweezers help. I also still count it as a tape manicure even if I only have one nail done with it on each hand ;-)
