Rhinestones are Haute.

Hellooo my dears! Happy Friday!!

Today I've got some wicked 3D skittle nails to share with you. I was sitting at my desk trying to decide what to put on my nails. I've been loooving green on my nails lately, but Essie's Haute As Hello was sitting on the top of my drawers just calling out to be used. So I went with that and decided to work a green rhinestone angle. I was first just feeling a single accent nail so I created this look.

The softness of Haute as Hello is simply gorgeous and I love the contrast of the green against the pastel. To do this accent nail I started by placing the square green rhinestone from Born Pretty Store on an angle and then added some silver bullion beads around the rhinestone. Then I added the round green rhinestones and finished adding the bullion beads around the outside of the rhinestones. I liked this look, but I wanted moooorrreeee.

So I kept going with the rhinestones and bullion beads. First I placed the silver bullion beads in an offsetting linear pattern on my ring finger. I'm reaaaalllly sad that so much bubbling happened when I topcoated. I should have used a coat of Gelous but I tried to do it with just NYC Top Coat. I guess you live and learn? Then I added a line of green round rhinestones on my pinky. I finished my four fingers off with a coat of Wet n Wild Born Into Privilege which is supposedly a dupe for China Glaze Ray-diant. Then on my thumb I took more square green rhinestones and placed them in alternating linear fashion!

So I am slightly obsessed with 3D things on my nails. I can't tell you how much I love the feel of rhinestones, microbeads, flocking powder etc on my nails. Seriously they are fab. I wore this look for 4 days and kept finding other things to do so that I wouldn't redo my nails. Guys I loved these so much I chose laundry in my spare time over doing my nails. I think I went a tad crazy for them. Also the funny thing. My index finger felt so weird because there was nothing 3D on it. Yup might be insane I know.

I kind of wish there was a way to preserve designs because I would wear these again in a heart beat.

What are your thoughts on 3D things on your nails? Would you rock something as 3D as this or do you prefer your nails so be smooth?

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope you all have a fab Friday :)

  1. I love your middle finger - the bullion beads around the rhinestones looks great. I do enjoy wearing the occasional rhinestone, pearl or googly eye, but I always fiddle with them so they fall off pretty quickly!

    1. LOL! Googly eye! Sounds amazing! I use two coats of NYC top coat, which I find usually holds my 3D pieces in there pretty well. Thanks! The middle nail was the original inspiration for the whole manicure :)

  2. And they didn't fall off when you were doing the laundry -- wow!
These look great, both with the accent nail and with the all-out 3D bling.
Gorgeous color combos! (: The green rhinestones are such a pretty shade.

    1. Nope! Not a one fell off! Ok well that's a slight lie, the day after I did them I was showering and ONE bullion bead came off in the shower. I replaced that one and then they were stuck like glue for the next 4 days!
      Thanks so much Kaitlyn :)

  6. Beautiful! I love the Haute as Hello colour :D I love the rhinestones too. I have tried rhinestones but I find myself "petting" them all day and they get caught in my hair when I'm washing it.

    1. Thanks Erica! I agree Haute as Hello is a really stunner. Whenever I have them on my nails I can't stop petting them! I love the feel and I think that's one of the reasons I love them so much. :) One bullion bead actually came off when I was washing my hair the day after I did this, but I replaced the single bead and then they were fine!
