Hey everyone! Today I’ve got some nails to show you that I did waaaay back in August. I’m still taking a bit of a break after the 31 Day Challenge from doing my nails, and I’m still enjoying Emily’s sugar skulls, so I figured I should show you these nails since I did them so long ago.
Laurie of Dressed Up Digits posted these nails on Facebook before she even put them on her blog and I immediately knew I needed to recreate them. They were bright, covered in animal print, gradientastic and well just amazing. So I busted out my stamping plates and did my best to attempt to recreate her beauties!
How bright and fun are these?! I love the various gradients, without the stamping it might have been a little insane, but I really think even though the animal print is all different, the black stamping ties it all together beautifully!
There were quite a few polishes used here so bear with me while I run them all down! On my thumb I created the gradient with China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and China Glaze Hang Ten Toes then stamped the giraffe pattern with BM-313. On my index I used China Glaze Hang Ten Toes and China Glaze Gothic Lolita and stamped the zebra pattern with BM-223. My middle nail I used China Glaze Sun-Kissed and China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard then stamped the snake skin pattern from BM-224. On my ring I used China Glaze Flirty Tankini and China Glaze Hang Ten Toes then stamped the leopard print using BM-221. Finally on my pinky I used China Glaze For Audrey, China Glaze Ride the Waves and China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and stamped that off with BM-16. Damn I'm only just realizing I used all China Glaze polishes for this mani!
Laurie creates such awesome stamped manis! And she always has the most interesting rings and stories to go along with her posts. I always look forward to her posts to see what she comes up with next. You can see Laurie's original post on this neon jungle here.
I really dig stamped nails and that's an area I really need to improve in. I always get nervous and fall back to my freehand ways so I think I'm going to try and get some more stamped manis in! Cause this one is freakin awesome!
Do you love the stamped look? Would you like to see more stamping on Sincerely Stephanie?
I hope you're having a fabulous day and I'll see you all again soon! :D
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to enter my Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed Giveaway! Only a few more days!
pretty pretty!!! You always make skittle manis look so easy!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad to hear you're still enjoying the sugar skulls!!! <3
Thanks Emily! They were so awesome I couldn't bear to take them off!
DeleteYes, stamping please! I don't like to do anything I can't recreate on my right hand so I don't do much free-handing (other than touching up any mistakes from the stamp!).
ReplyDeleteAlright Tharvey! I will endevour to do more stamping on here! :D
DeleteI love these! So bright and fun with the stamping!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jamie! <3
DeleteGradients and stamping make me swooon, I love this, your nails are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie! :D
DeleteAwesome mani!! Love all the bright colors. I have a question though, did you use a different camera for your pics? They seem sharper, clearer, less glare and more like what you'd see in real life. I like!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy!
DeleteUnfortunately no, this is not a new camera. I took this pictures during the summer while I was able to take pictures in sunlight. Unfortunately with my job I can only take pictures at night or try to get some sunlight in on weekends. I'm always trying to figure out how to improve my pictures though, so I will be working on that and I'm reaaalllly hoping for a much better camera for Christmas! Mine is super old!
GREAT JOB! What a big head moment for me having you copy me!!!! These look great! Don't you just love the thumb?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I loved everything about this manicure! It was so fun to wear!
DeletePretty!! Love those gradients too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria!
