Aphrodite Lacquers Terre and La Pluie

I've got some absolutely gorgeous new lacquers to share with you today from Aphrodite Lacquers Printemps a Paris Collection. When I first saw this collection online I drooled over it. The whole collection is full of buildable pastel glitters that are so off season they are perfect. The fall is full of vampy collections and Rebecca did a great job of stepping outside that box and putting out a set of stunning pastels. I have two of the collection to share with you today.

First I want to share Terre with you. Terre means "Earth" in french, although the Earth vibe that I get from this polish is of a spring awakening. Terre has a sheer pastel green buildable base with emerald green and gold hex glitter. There is also a light green shimmer running through the whole base which really makes this come alive.

I really love that although this is quite sheer and I needed 3 coats to reach full opacity, it isn't a jelly! I love all my jellies, but because this is just sheer and not a jelly there really looks like there are so many dimensions to this polish. The glitters in the first few layers are still visible and look like they are specks in a distance. I mean check out the macro.

See that buried glitter? It's like a hidden treasure! Simply gorgeous!

The other polish from the collection I have to share is La Pluie. La Pluie means rain in french and I think Rebecca hit this one spot on the nose! La Pluie is a sister polish to Terre in that it has the same sheer but buildable formula filled with hex glitter. The base here is a sky blue with a royal blue shimmer running throughout. The hexes are royal blue, black and white, which evoke feelings of stormy clouds and raindrops falling.

Again the base of this polish is what really makes it beautiful. The sheer but buildable formula is a true winner because even with such simple one sized hex glitter you get this incredibly complex look after 3 coats. Let's take a look at a macro of this baby.

Overall I am a huge fan of these polishes. Rebecca has become one of my favourite indie polish makers for her creativity and willingness to push the boundaries of the seasons. While most other indie makers are putting out Halloween shades, she's putting out pastel beauties that are a nice refresher for your palette!

Both of these polishes are available in Rebecca's Etsy Shop (at time of publication) for $8 USD for a full 15mL bottle. Keep up with Aphrodite Lacquers on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest news!
