Abstract Nail Art Challenge Day One: French Tip

Today is the first day in the Abstract Nail Art Challenge that I am completing with Emily from The Lacquerologist and Jessica of BeautyGnome. The aim of this challenge is to showcase some really cool techniques that you can do without having to be amazing at freehand or stamping! I can't wait to see what these ladies come up with and I hope we can provide some inspiration for all of you :D

The first day in the challenge is a French Tip. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of a French Tip because my nails tend to be discoloured from all the polish. So instead of doing a classic French Tip today, I went for something a little different!

I started off with two coats of Cult Nails Enticing. Enticing is a sheer but buildable light pink polish that I originally posted about here. Then I grabbed a doubled ended dotting tool and using Essence's Glamourous Life created my french tip! Glamourous Life is a red leaning pink glassfeck jelly polish I posted about here

Please excuse the bits of black on my dots there, I had been using it before and apparently didn't clean it off as well as I should have when I was finished. This mani is really fun, feminine and flirty! It can easily be worn to the office or for a variety of occasions.

Well there you have it my take on the French Tip! It's a little different than the classic, but I think still very wearable. What do you lovely ladies think of it?

Remember to stop by The Lacquerologist and BeautyGnome to see what they have come up with on Day One! UPDATE: Victoria from Manicurator has also joined the challenge!
