Good Morning!
Today I have swatches of 7 beautiful polishes to share with you from the brand new indie brand LAVlacquer. LAVlacquer is created by Dij, a student studying interior design who started making polish as a hobby and has now turned it into her own indie brand! She just opened up shop June 5th, and each of her polishes is hand crafted, with ingredients are never tested on animals. Glitter suspension bases are 5 free and solid colors are 3 free. Since this is a brand new brand show them some love on Facebook :)
I have lots of photos of all these beauties so click though so see more!
LAVlacquer Purple Matter is really rather gorgeous. It is a combination of micro purple hexes and micro holographic hexes in a clear suspension base. This polish truly is captivating. As I moved my hand around in the light the holographic glitters just sparkled like nobodies business.
I've included a macro of this one because you really need to see how stunning it is! The shop says you can get away with 2 coats, but I did three here because I could still see some of my bare nail at two coats. You could use unides if you wanted to use less coats, but this is just beautiful on its own.
LAVlacquer Cotton Candy Sweet As Gold is such a cute fun polish! This is from LAVlacquer's Pretty In Pink Collection and is a bubblegum pink crelly base with a mix of neon green, neon yellow and neon pink glitters ranging from micro to massive in size.
The formula on this was awesome, went on with 2 easy coats and I hardly needed to use the dip and dab method. I only fished for a few extra big hexes to give you guys a better look at what the polish looked like. I had a mini bottle of this, so I don't think this would be an issue with a full size bottle.
LAVlacquer Pick Me Up at 8 is such a pretty lilac purple crelly filled with mirco magenta and deep purple glitters. There is something about this kind of polish that tugs at my heartstrings and I absolutely looovveee purple polishes!
Formula on this one was awesome. Just needed 2 easy coats and no need to dab any glitters. It's a beauty!
LAVlacquer Avenue O is a bright orange crelly base filled with bright neon green and neon pink large hexes and mini neon yellow, neon pink and neon green hexes. This is a perfect polish for summer, and I think it will look great against a number of skin tones.
Forumla on this one was really thick. I had to add a few drops of thinner to make it useable. As well this polish did not to a good job a self levelling with the glitters so top coat is a must. This was 2 coats.
LAVlacquer NEON LOVE is an awesome neon matter glitter polish with large pink and green hexes and well as small pink and green hexes. I've shown it here over China Glaze Bottoms Up. Unfortunately my camera didn't capture the difference between the pink hexes and the pink base, but if you enlarge the picture you'll be able to see them more clearly.
The formula on this one is thick, but in a good way! There is so much glitter I only needed one coat for this much glitter. It's awesomesauce.
LAVlacquer One In a Million is zomg amazing. It is a mix of tiny specs of neon pink, holographic blue, silver and a few green glitters thrown in there for good measure in a clear suspension base. Seriously this one is indescribable. When I swatched it I just couldn't take it off and ended up adding an accent nail and have been wearing it for 3 days now!
Forumla was perfect on this. I had almost full coverage on my first coat, but did 2 to make sure everything was fully covered. Love. This. Polish.
LAVlacquer Dance Dance Dance is a purple jelly base filled with large pink hexes, turquoise glitters and micro purple and pink glitter hexes. I've layered it over China Glaze Are You Jelly? on all but my ring nail which is just 2 coats of Dance Dance Dance on its own.
Formula on this one was good, it was similar to NEON LOVE in that thick but a good way. I prefer it over Are You Jelly? rather than on its own, but some of you may prefer it without any undies! The blue glitters look like they are curling, but it is reflective curling and not actual curling of the glitters.
Overall I am thoroughly impressed with LAVlacquer! The polishes I reviewed are unique and the formula was excellent on all but one, but that only required a little thinner. What do you think about any of these?
You can purchase LAVlacquer in their etsy shop here for $8.75 USD for a full sized 15mL bottle or $4.25 for a mini 5mL bottle. Also keep up with them on Facebook here for new product releases and a giveaway that is coming soon!
