Bright Neon Flowers

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Good Morning!

Today I have some very bright neon floral nail art to share with you. I was inspired by Lexi's Neon Flowers. They look so bright and fun that I just had to give them a try!

I was absolutely OBSESSED with these nails with I did them! I wore them home for a weekend and never wanted to take them off. I started off with Cult Nails Tempest on all my nails because I originally was not planning on the rhinestone accent.

I grabbed a bunch of neons from last years China Glaze Summer Neons and went to work. I decided to switch up the colour scheme from Lexi's original design. The pink is China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, the orange is China Glaze Orange You Hot?, the yellow is China Glaze Sun-Kissed and the blue is China Glaze Splish Splash. My rhinestones were sitting out on my desk so I decided to go for a full out blinged accent nail covered in rhinestones! I added a coat of China Glaze Glistening Snow before I added the rhinestones so any space would be silver underneath.

I'm mildly obsessed with wearing floral prints and this one is no exception! The neon and floral combination just made me happy. PLUS the blinged out accent nail is pretty awesome if I do say so myself :P

What are your thoughts on these nails? Would you rock a neon floral? Hope you are having a great Thursday loves!

Gradients and Stamping Galore

Purchased by Me

Morning Friends!

Yes this has to be the least creative title ever, but it was all I could come up with at the moment lol. I was browsing through pinterest and found this amazing manicure and knew that I had to recreate it. Thankfully it uses all PUEEN nail plates which I just so happen to have!

PUEEN Stamping

To get this look I started off with a white base, using my current go to Cult Nails Tempest. Then using a make up sponge I got the gradient going using from cuticle to tip, Wet n Wild Lavender Creme, NYC Lexington Yellow and Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint. Once I was happy with my gradient I added a coat of Seche Vite and allowed that to dry completely.

Once my gradient was dry I got out my stamping tools. I always add top coat before I stamp over a gradient because you work so hard on a gradient you don't want to screw it up!! I needed 4 PUEEN plates to stamp this skittle look. My thumb is PUEEN 05, my index and middle nails are PUEEN 11, my ring nail is PUEEN 08 and finally my pinky is PUEEN 10. All the stamping was done using Wet n Wild Black Creme.

I absolutely loved this look! And even though it was a blatent copy of someone elses work I'm still pleased as punch with how it came out :) Do you like this bright gradient and stamped look?

I'm headed out for lunch with my grandparents today to celebrate finishing my thesis and being the first grandchild to finish university! I'm also the eldest so that helps, but I'm going to enjoy our lunch regardless! I hope you are all having a lovely day as well!

One In a Million Accents

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Goooooood Morning!

I am very excited today because I found out that I did exceptionally well on my thesis! All that hard work has paid off in a huge way! =D Now I officially have passed I have my undergraduate degree! One degree down and I'll be starting on the next in the fall lol. Since all that stress is finally behind me I have more time to focus on my little corner of the internet. I know its been a little neglected lately, but I hope to get back into a more regular posting rhythm soon.

Todays nails are some accent nails that I wore for about a week while I was working on finishing my first draft of my thesis. I wouldn't change my nails because I needed to get the work done, and I just really loved this together. The glitter is LAVlacquer One In a Million. I showed the original swatch of this polish back here, and knew then that I would be wearing it again. It's such a pretty polish with so many brilliant flashes of colour!

For my accent nails I started off with my favourite white, Cult Nails Tempest and waited for that to dry completely. Then I used Black Creme and China Glaze Sunday Funday to freehand on the abstract floral pattern. I filled in the white with Sunday Funday just take away some of the white space. Finally I added one small purple rhinestone in the center of each flower to tie it all together.

Accent nails are always my favourite kind of look and I am head over heels for this one! I think the glitter really makes these nails pop and I'm so glad that it is part of my collection. What are your thoughts on this manicure?!

Hope you are all having a great Wednesday!

Studded Accent with Born Pretty Store

Press Sample

Evening friends!

I apologize for my week long absence, I spent all of last week buried in my books finishing the first draft of my thesis and then I headed home for the long weekend and completely forgot about blogging! I just enjoyed sitting by the pool and soaking up the sun with family. It's back to reality today though! My nails have actually been bare for over a week now, I know it's craziness!

Todays nails are a simple accent, but I always love this kind of look. I used LAVlacquer Cotton Candy Sweet As Gold on all my nails except my accent. You can see my full review of this polish here.

On my middle nail I pulled out these studs from Born Pretty Store and used the pink and green ones. I alternated colours and stuck them down with nail glue to make sure that they would hold for awhile. I used these tweezers to pick up and place the tweezers, which was incredibly easy!

I'm easing back into doing my nails with this look after a week of nothing! What do you think of it?
You can purchase these studs here for $4.89! Also remember to use my 10% off code SA7 X31 to get even more savings. The tweezers can be purchased here for $2.40. Hope you're having a great night!

butter LONDON Molly Coddled Grooved Out

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Morning loves!

Today I have a really simple accent look to share with you today! I actually wore this a few months ago, but completely forgot to ever edit the pictures and only just found them, sitting waiting to be used.

butter LONDON Molly Coddled

butter LONDON Molly Coddled is the gorgeous purple that you see here. When I originally swatched it I had no intention of taking it off, but needed something to pizzazz it up a little. Since I really wanted Molly Coddled to be the star of the show I decided on a simple glittery accent!

The fabulous gold glitter is Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Groove Thing. It is just enough to add an accent to Molly Coddled, while still letting this picture perfect purple shine through.

We all know I love my accent nail manicures even when they are as simple as this! What are your thoughts on the gold accents to Molly Coddled?!

Pink, Gold and White

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Afternoon friends!

Everything is still crazy busy with me and blogging is getting pushed to the backburner. In a few days I'll be moved into my new place for the summer and hopefully be getting back into a better routine! Today is another post from the vault for you guys. It's simple but I quite liked the finished look.

I wanted something light and girly so I pulled out OPI I Theodora You and painted my thumb, index and pinky nails. I really love this pink crelly on myself even though I normally gravitate towards crazier colours and styles. There is something refreshing about it!

Then I added a white creme on my middle nail and added some black zig zags using my It's So Easy Stripe Rite Black. I had originally planned on doing this on both my middle and ring nails, but for some reason I thought this mani needed a little gold so I grabbed Essence The Huntsman from the Snow White Collection which I was given by my friend Amanda! I put it over my bare nail, but the next time I use it I will probably put down a base colour first.

This mani is by no means perfect, but I'm kind of liking the small imperfections.

What do you think of this? Do you ever need something soft to cleanse your palette from all the bright manis!? Hope you're having a great day :)

Do You Like Thimbleberries?

Purchased by Me

Hey Everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you are all doing marvellous. If you follow me regularly you may have noticed over the past little while my posting has become sporadic and I am for sure not posting as often as I used to. Well 6 weeks ago I broke my ankle and have been in an Aircast and on crutches ever since. Yesterday I headed off to what I thought would be my last appointment with the surgeon and throw my crutches to the wind and start walking again! Unfortunately this was not the case. The fracture has healed but there is some concern for the rest of my ankle. SOOO I am still in my cast and on crutches for minimum another 2 weeks until we can get an MRI, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later. So please bear with me as I will probably continue to be sporadically posting until I am able to walk and get my life in order again.

Ok, rant ended, you came here to see some nails, so here they are!

These nails are a few weeks old, I think I did them the second week that I was hurt and you can see I have mega super nubs. The day before I banged my index nail against my crutch resulting in these rounded nails. I took these pictures after 4 or 5 days of wear so please excuse the tip wear.

After I hurt myself my fabulous mother had been in Target and bought me two new Sinful Colors polishes! You have no idea how excited I am that these are in Canada :D One of those was this gorgeous coral creme, Sinful Colors Thimbleberry. I had to wear it right away, because I just love it. This was 2 creamy coats.

On my first 3 nails I wanted to go for a saran wrap, but mine was up some stairs in my kitchen so instead I ripped a piece of plastic bag and used that to create my saran wrap nails using Essie Good As Gold. Then added 2 black rhinestones at the base of my nails. On my ring and pinky I added one coat of Wet n Wild Fergie's Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night to match up all the black and gold.

I wore these for 4 or 5 days and quite enjoyed it! I did a similar look last year here in different colours, but this is screaming a little more spring time to me! I hope you liked my Thimbleberry accent nails and are having a great weekend!

Armed, Ready and Bronzed to Bits

Hey guys! I've got another olderish mani to share with you guys today! During the summer when I had a string of lovely ladies guest posting for me, I did a few sets of nails and then since the 31 Day Challenge started so soon after that I never got around to posting!

essie armed and ready

I got Essie Armed and Ready a while back and promptly put it away and completely forgot I owned it! So when I was going through my collection looking for some inspiration and found this gem I had to wear it immediately! Armed and Ready is an army green with a copper shimmer running throughout the polish. It really is beautiful and is a great colour for fall.

I was being lazy and not in the mood to do too intense nail art, I mean I was on vacation! LOL and I knew that these Cult Nails Bronze Gemstones would look perfect as an accent nail! So I randomly started placing the gems on my nail, trying my best to spread out the biggest gems.

I really love how these gems play with this polish. Also these gems are freakin SHINY! Like they just glisten off of everything. By far my favourite gems that I have used. Cult Nails nail art accessories are off the chain! ;) You can purchase your own Bronze gems here.

Sometimes simple nails end up being ones that I like more! Do you ever just keep it simple? What do you think of these gems?!

Hope you are all having a fabulous day!

Who Doesn't Love Sunshine?

Morning dolls! It is so nice being stress free these past few days without any pesky school or work to worry about. I've been lounging by the pool with my sister and obviously doing my mom and sisters nails! My boyfriend luckily got a few days off work so we decided to head up to his cottage for a few days to sit on the dock, go tubing and just generally relax :) I'm super excited! I did some sunshine inspired nails for the sendoff!

cult nails feel me up cult nails captivated

I started off with my absolute favourite yellow, Cult Nails Feel Me Up. It is the perfect sunshine yellow! And this is the third time I'm posting about it, you know I love a polish when. I previously posted about Feel Me Up here and here. Then I used Cult Nails Captivated on my ring and thumb for accent nails. I got Captivated a while ago, but for some reason never ended up using it! These two polishes play so well together. I love the sparkly orange glitter with the perfectness that is Feel Me Up. It just screams sunshine!

cult nails feel me up cult nails captivated

I also got the amazing goodness that is Cult Nails Gemstones and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to add some bling! I kept with my sunshine theme and added gems in decreasing size along up my nails :) Something to note about these gems is that they are SOO SHINY! I have used quite a few different rhinestones before and these really are the shiniest of them all.

Sooooo pretty! The whole thing just screams sunshine. Which is all I want to soak up right now! At this point I added Essie Matte About You to Captivated because I had seen Lizzy of The Do It Yourself Lady mattify Captivated and it looked awesome!

I am completely captivated by this combination! As gorgeous as Captivated is shiny, I feel like there is a whole new dimension when it's matte. It's stunning either way.

I love the whole Cult Nails combination going on here. Being one of my favourite brands it's awesome when I can create a strictly Cult Nails mani! :)

What do you think of my sunshine inspired look? Do you love basking in the suns rays? Obviously with proper sunscreen ;)

Even though I'll be away for the rest of the week I still have my twin posts with Carmela and some other goodies for you while I'm gone! Be on the lookout for and extra awesome #PolishDays post this afternoon!

Hope you all have a fab day and I will talk to you all in a bit!

Much love!
