Pretty Vintage Roses

TGIF!!! Yay it's Friday! We made it through another week.

I'm sorry this post is a little later than usual, our Internet went out this morning at work and silly me forgot to schedule the post last night! Better late than never right? :)

Today I have some vintage roses to show you. I know this trend has been popping up everywhere so I just felt the need to try it out. Also it has been getting warmer here so I felt the need for some spring in my life!

I started with 2 coats of Barielle's Swizzle Stix and then used a striping brush and China Glaze For Audrey to put the stripes on. Then I took Revlon's Posh and mixed it on a palette with China Glaze White on White. I created some leaves with a nail art brush. Then took Posh on its own and added a little dimensionality to the leaves with a smaller nail art brush. I let that dry and mixed China Glaze Soled Out with White on White and just dotted on the light pink in a shape that I felt was flowery. Once that dried I took a small nail art brush and used Soled Out to draw on the rest of the petals of the flowers!

I absolutely loved this mani and wore it for four days. I also got a lot of compliments on it! I was getting my eyebrows waxed at a salon and the lady grabbed my hand and said "Where did you get this done?" I replied I did it myself and she didn't believe me. It was really funny. I had to convince her that I do my own nails! Little bit of a confidence boost :)

Do you like having semi unseasonable things on your nails? Or do you prefer matching your polish to the season?

Also on an unrelated note my sister comes home today from school for spring break! I haven't seen her in months AND she's bringing me A LOT of new polish. I can't contain my excitement!

Until next time,
Sincerely Stephanie
