Sentimental Polish Days

Today is the 5th installment of Polish Days! I love this concept and am so happy that I have been able to participate in all of the polish days so far. Octobers theme is Sentimental. When Hannah originally sent the email out I was originally planning on using one of the first polishes that got me really into nail polish. However since then, as some of you may know, we had to put down my golden retriever, (if you want to know about that then you can read my post here). It was an incredibly hard thing to do, so I decided to try and do a manicure inspired by my dog Lacey.

sentimental polish days

This is not a manicure that I would normally wear at all, but it is very sentimental. I used butter LONDON Bluey as my base as I had just gotten it from my Coterie order, and everyone was quite blue about Lacey being gone. I stamped the paw prints with Essie Good As Gold from the Mirror Metallic's Collection and BM-323. Finally I used Wet n Wild Fergie Hollywood Walk of Fame on the rest of my nails.

sentimental polish days

Hollywood Walk of Fame was not just a random addition to this mani. My best blogging friend Emily of The Lacquerologist sent me this polish to cheer me up about Lacey. I just got it as an absolute surprise one day along with a note that made me smile ear to ear. Emily is one of the sweetest people ever and I am so glad that I have gotten to 'meet' her through my nail polish adventure. Also she has gorgeous nails that I totally get jealous of and posts some wicked nail art. So she's all around amazing. Go follow her people. :D

sentimental polish days

I don't think I would have ever put this combination of polishes together had it not been for this Polish Days, but I'm really glad I did. This is in no way the prettiest mani that I have ever done, but it does bring out some sentimental feelings.

I want to take another minute to thank all of my readers who comment, chat with me on twitter or Facebook, or ever just take the time to look at my blog. I sincerely appreciate you all and you guys make this worth doing on days when I'm just not feelin it. Yup I'm getting all gushy and sentimental, but hey that's what this post is all about! So you guys rock and I love you all. Like a lot a lot. :D

I'm really excited to see what the rest of the Polish Days participants are going to come up with for Sentimental! Make sure you check them out! If you are interested in participating in Polish Days head over to Polly Polish and enter your email to be notified of the next installment!

  3. Nice mani, and nice thought to make one inspired by Lacey. Dogs are so amazing, they are really our best friends. :-)

Btw, the Butter polish seems very similar to Avon Sequined Turquoise.
